Ages 16 – 24

Youth Inspire’s Driving School has been set up to support rangatahi in the

Hutt Valley to gain their learners, restricted and full driver licenses.

Learners

We will teach you the NZ Road Code so you can have confidence sitting your learner license test with us.

To be eligible you must:

  • Be living in the Hutt Valley

  • Be 16 - 24 years old

  • Have original identification as per the Waka Kotahi Website

Our driving mentors will help you gain the skills and experience needed to sit your restricted driving test.

To be eligible you must:

  • Be living in the Hutt Valley

  • Be 16 - 24 years old

  • Have a current NZ learner licence

  • Be willing to commit to two driving lessons per week (1hr each)

  • ‘Drivers must have had at least 10-15 hrs of driving experience’

  • Is or has attended a Youth Inspire employability programme

  • We apologise but due to the high volume of registrations we have had to close the EOI for restricted

Getting ready to sit your full licence but need a bit of help? Youth Inspire can help

To be eligible you must:

  • Be living in the Hutt Valley

  • Be aged 16 - 24

  • Have a current NZ restricted licence

  • Be driving regularly (not essential)
